The STERiGLIDE ™ cannula is a blunt atraumatic cannula that is inserted under the dermis using a pricking needle to inject hyaluronic acid or autologous fat. This technique is commonly used to replace volume, to compensate for deep shadows and wrinkles and to work in sensitive areas, often the eye area, without risk of injury.
The greatest advantage of STERiGLIDE ™ cannula is to reduce the risk of haematomas. This advantage led to the fact that this cannula technique was adopted worldwide and made cannulae the means of choice for special indications, such as the eye or tear channel.
A further advantage of the cannula is that only one entry point is necessary to inject a larger region, which leads to more well-being, less traumatisation and therefore more acceptance by the patient.
